As a participant in the Test of Metal, I wanted to write to recognize the awesome role your Park and Recreation staff played in making the Test of Metal a great event and a positive experience for the riders.
I know a lot of work went into the preparations of the trails and the set up for the start and it showed.
In particular, I wanted to mention how great your team at the Rec Centre dealt with the athletes after the race.
After a cold and hard ride, and after being coated with mud, your team was very friendly, empathetic, and genuinely trying to help as best they could.
They guys hosing people off at the entrance very considerate and helpful. The warm water was a godsend. The counter staff at the counter was very cheerful, and that really helped us weary competitors.
The locker room attendants also did a great job keeping things cleaner than anyone thought was possible, given the amount of mud being tracked in.
The entire experience was a great reflection on your team and, to all the visiting competitors, a positive reflection on our community.
Thanks again, and please share this with your team.
