A Squamish wealth professional has just been recognized in a list of the industry’s female trailblazers. Janet Bride of HollisWealth has been included in Wealth Professional magazine’s Women of Influence report.
This annual list honours 42 women who are leading the charge in the transformation of the industry.
Women remain in the minority within the financial advice industry with recent statistics suggesting female advisors make up between 12 to 25 per cent of the financial advice industry. However, there are increasing opportunities for female advisors to stake a claim in the industry and the women recognized in this report are making great strides in having a voice in the wealth profession.
“The financial industry still has a significant gender gap, but these 42 women are helping to close it,” said the team at Wealth Professional.
“Advisors are developing deep, trusting relationships with their clients, a role that seems like a natural fit for women. Indeed, many of the female advisors we spoke with agreed that intuition, empathy and compassion are vital traits that determine an advisor’s success.”
