Inspired Art Gallery Comes to Downtown Squamish

December 1, 2016 12:10pm

Local artist Nathan French is calling upon art lovers and the community to help build a community art space of their dreams. He is giving shape to that dream in a pop-up art gallery in downtown  Squamish.

The pop up art gallery is a month long project that welcomes all local artists to share space in what French hopes will be the town’s newest Community Driven Art Space. The gallery, he hopes, will make art and crafts accessible to the entire community.

Spearheaded by Inbiz, the pop up opens on Friday, December 2 at 38166 Cleveland Ave in downtown Squamish, right next to Inbiz.  Open from 11 am to 11 pm, French invites and welcomes the community to explore over 400 words from dozens of local artists and artisans, ranging from holiday gift ideas to high end pieces.

There will live entertainment and warm refreshments. “It’s a great family fun event that you don’t want to miss,” French said.

“The success of this Community Driven Creative Space depends entirely on the success of the Inspired Pop Up Gallery Project, so we hope to see you (and your friends!) there!” French said.

Great work setting this up! I’m looking to be there and hope that others in the community understand the benefits of such in Downtown.

My husband, Maskull Lasserre, is a sculptor (maskulllasserre.com) with a shop in town and we would have both loved to have participated in Nathan’s project but have been out of town. How can we get in touch with Nathan?

    Thanks!
