Kelly Dyer and Toronto comic Jeff Elliott to perform at Knotty Burl in Downtown Squamish

June 11, 2018 6:39am

For the last year and a half, local comedian Kelly Dyer has brought Canada’s best comics to The Burly Show, a bi-monthly show he produces at The Knotty Burl night club in downtown Squamish.

Dyer says comedy is alive and well in Squamish and he is inviting the community to the latest installment featuring Toronto comic Jeff Elliot, who has performed at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and tours the country with Yuk Yuks as one of their most established headliners.

He is also a favourite on the festival circuit having appeared at the CBC’s Winnipeg and Halifax Comedy Festivals and the Icebreakers Comedy Festival. He will be joined in Squamish by Mayce Galoni who recently opened for the ever famous Doug Stanhope in Vancouver and has performed at JFL .

“I’m super lucky to be able to perform so close to home as comics we usually have to hit road or for me at lest drive to Vancouver to do a set . As well as getting to show our little town the world of stand up has been super rad to say the least “

Kelly said he loves to interact with the local crowds which always makes for a fun start to the shows. The Burley Show Comedy Night is held at The Knotty Burl on Cleveland Avenue in Downtown Squamish.  The show is tomorrow, Thursday, June 14, and the doors opens at 8 pm, with showtime at 9 pm.
