There will be more choices for Pizza this year in Squamish as Domino’s Pizza works on opening a store in town.
Jeffrey A. Kacmarek, the vice president of marketing and new product development, said the company hopes the store will be open in late spring.
The company is busy working on the construction of the store, which will be located in the Solterra Business Park, across from Home Depot.
“This store will be owned and operated by a franchisee, and it will be their first store,” Kacmarek said..
He said the new store will provide carry-out service, delivery and offer limited seating.
“We are not sure how many seats at this time as the floor plan has yet to be finalized. The store will not offer drive-thru service,” he said.
Domino’s Pizza will be the second fast food to operate out of the Solterra Business Park. Construction is in full swing for the opening of Dairy Queen this spring.
The 2600-square feet Squamish store will also offer a drive-thru service for customers.
Meanwhile, Little Caesars in Downtown Squamish closed its doors to the community last year. Recently, Quiznos has also been shut down.
