Squamish Street Market is back this Father’s Day

May 30, 2019 10:10am

The second series of Squamish Street Market is back this summer.

The first market kicks off on Father’s Day, June 16 from 12 PM- 6 PM. Highlights include a wide variety of street vendors, and an assortment of local food trucks for every taste.

“These free events are for everyone” says Bianca Peters, President of BP Communications. “Locals, newcomers, day-trippers and tourists are all invited to attend and check out what the Squamish Street Market has to offer them.”

The family friendly beer and cider garden will be hosted by Norman Rudy’s, Backcountry Brewing and Northyards Cider Co. Foundation Squamish Chrysler Jeep Dodge will be setting up a car show along Cleveland Avenue. The Squamish Rotary Club will be back selling Ducks in a Truck to raise funds for Squamish Hospice. Entertainment includes the return of the Furry Foxes and a live art performance sponsored by Loop Paints.

Headlining on the O’Siyam Pavilion Stage on Father’s Day are local favourites Will Ross from 2 PM- 4 PM followed by Loam from 4 PM- 6 PM.

“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our Silver Sponsors, Fortis BC and Garibaldi at Squamish for supporting the Squamish Street Markets” says Peters. “We look forward to bringing people downtown to enjoy the events and supporting local economic development.”

Registration for vendors, food trucks and sponsors is on-going throughout the summer, says Peters. The next Squamish Street Market events take place on Sunday, July 14 and August 11.
