The District of Squamish closed down landfill until further notice. The incident is being investigated.
Here is the message that the district has posted.
“The #Squamish Landfill is closed until further notice due to the presence of an unknown substance. The incident is under investigation by GFL and security is on site. There are no public safety concerns at this time. We’ll provide updates with any new information.”
