Woodfibre LNG is inviting Squamish charity groups and community organisations to take part in the company’s Community Sponsorship program.
“We are proud to support local groups and charities that play a vital role in contributing to the Squamish community,” says David Keane, President of Woodfibre LNG. “Our Sponsorship Program allows us to give back to the community, and show our appreciation for local services. It will always be a priority for us to support, and provide benefits and opportunities to the community we are proud to be a part of.”
In summer of 2019, Woodfibre LNG says it has awarded 13 different Squamish associations with sponsorship awards, totalling $42,500 in grants. Since 2013, Woodfibre LNG says it has contributed over $900,000 to various groups and events.
Woodfibre LNG is accepting applications for the Community Sponsorship Program until November 30, 2019. Grants will be awarded at a community event held in early December. Applicants must be based in Squamish and/or must deliver programs in the community. The maximum amount that will be considered is $5,000 per year.
