The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) has started its annual phone survey of Whistler residents and second homeowners.
The Community Life Survey is an important tool for residents and second homeowners to evaluate the municipality’s performance and provide feedback on various aspects community life.
The results of the Community Life Survey help council and staff identify the community’s priorities and inform municipal plans, services and other community-wide initiatives, RMOW said.
A web version of the survey will also be available for residents on February 3. The online survey is an opportunity for participants to provide more in-depth open-ended information.
The survey is being conducted by Forum Research Inc. This is the thirteenth Community Life Survey conducted by the RMOW, and the eighth year that the survey is available online.
The survey results are also important for tracking the performance for the RMOW’s Corporate Plan and are an important input into the Community Monitoring Program.
“We want to know how you think your government and the municipality are doing when it comes to services and priorities,” said Whistler Mayor Jack Crompton. “The Community Life Survey is a crucial piece of information for us as we make decisions and track trends in the community. I encourage everyone to take some time to fill out the survey online and if selected by phone, please take the opportunity to provide your valuable input.”
The random phone survey will take place until 500 interviews of 300 full-time residents and 200 second homeowners are completed.
Survey results will be presented to Whistler Council later in the spring.
