Cabin for sale in Whistler for just $123

A Whistler couple is selling a cabin on their land in the Emerald Estates area for just $123.

They would have given it for free, but the social media page where they posted the ad wouldn’t allow “FREE” for a price tag. Although it is listed for $123, it goes to the highest bidder who can remove it from the property as soon as possible.

The 1400 sq. ft. cabin has one-and-a-half bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. The owners, William and Samantha Emm, bought the property a year-and-a-half ago, and plan to build a home there.

However, they thought of selling the cabin at a throwaway price because it is still in good condition.

“It is practically free, and it is a nice A-frame cabin that is in a good condition,” says William Emm.

William says the cabin could work as a coach house or a second home for someone who has a large piece of land.

“It seemed like a waste to demolish something that is in good condition and can be put to good use,” William says.

Some companies such as Nickel Bros specialise in this kind of moving, but it could cost someone close to $50,000 in moving and installation costs.

They have heard from people who are interested, but it hasn’t been removed yet.

The Emms can be contacted through the social media post.
