February 19, 2020 11:46am

Vancouver Police seized approximately $200,000 cash and millions of dollars’ worth of drugs from an apartment in Downtown Vancouver on Saturday.

Officers and BC Ambulance Service were called to an apartment at 777 Richards Street to check the well-being of the occupants in the early morning on February 15.

Two males were located in medical distress inside the apartment and paramedics transported both to hospital for treatment.

The money and drugs were observed by police in plain view inside the apartment.

“Our officers immediately obtained a warrant to search the residence,” says Sergeant Aaron Roed of VPD.

“Officers located and seized multiple bricks believed to be cocaine, cash, approximately three gallons of an unknown liquid, and several ounces of a substance believed to be MDMA. The estimated street value of the drugs is several million dollars.”

The investigation in on going and drug charges will be recommended if lab tests confirm the substances are illegal. Police are asking anyone with information on this criminal activity to call detectives at 604-717-0505 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
