The Sea to Sky RCMP, which includes Squamish RCMP, Whistler RCMP, Bowen Island RCMP, and Pemberton RCMP, have decided to close their detachment offices.

Citizens are asked to call 911 in case of an emergency, but all non-essential services in the wake of the current COVID-19 crisis will be suspended.

The decisions are based on recommendations from the federal and provincial governments.

The RCMP staff, however, remain available to assist with non-emergency complaints and inquiries at the numbers below:

Squamish RCMP: 604-892-6100

Pemberton RCMP: 604-894-6634

Bowen Island RCMP: 604-947-0516

Whistler RCMP: 604-932-3044

“The health and safety of our employees and clients is our top priority and we are therefore following the lead of the Canadian public health authorities to take the necessary preventative measures,” RCMP said.

“We are also asking those that require police assistance in our area notify our call-takers of any flu-like symptoms, travel, or contact with those diagnosed with COVID-19 in order for our frontline police officers to take necessary precautions prior to attendance.”
