The Squamish-Lilloeet Regional District (SLRD) has been informed about two cases of Covid-19 involving two overseas visitors to a location in the SLRD Electoral Area A.

Electoral Area A is the northwestern-most area in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District.

The two people with COVID-19 are no longer in the area, and they were tested after they came back to their home country.

Those who came in direct contact of those visitors have been advised and are self-isolating, SLRD said.

“The health and well-being of our residents throughout the region is of paramount concern to myself, and to the entire SLRD Board of Directors,” said Sal Demare, Electoral Area A Director.

Demare urged residents to remain calm and to continue to take the standard precautionary measures.
