BC Parks closes Stawamus Chief trail

BC Parks has closed Stawamus Chief Peaks Trail, the Backside Trail, and associated access – this includes the main two parking lots at Stawamus Chief Park.

This decision has been made to ensure the continued health and safety of BC Parks visitors, employees, park contractors, volunteers and partners, and to support efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, BC Parks said.

Meanwhile, the District of Squamish is urging visitors to not visit the community.
