SPCA is offering 50% discount on adoption fees

The BC SPCA currently has nearly 550 animals available for adoption.
Staff report
March 23, 2020 2:50pm

The BC SPCA is offering half-price adoption fees for all animals in its facilities across the province from March 23 to March 27.

The adoption event is being presented in partnership with Hill’s® Pet Nutrition.

The BC SPCA currently has nearly 550 animals available for adoption, including dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, birds, rabbits and other small animals, as well as horses and farm animals.

“Our goal is to find as many loving homes as possible for the animals currently in our care so that we can continue to help new, incoming animals with our limited staffing capacity during the COVID-19 crisis,” said Lorie Chortyk, general manager of communications of the BC SPCA.

Because of the need to limit personal contact, SPCA is asking people to view animals available for adoption on their website and fill out an online adoption form.

SPCA staff will then contact people to set up an appointment to meet the animal.

While staff and volunteers are continuing to care for animals, there is no public access in SPCA facilities until further notice, except for appointments for adoptions and emergency surrenders.
