Police warn about suspicious man in Valleycliffe

Staff report
March 31, 2020 2:27pm

Squamish RCMP are warning citizens about a suspicious man checking car doors along Valley Drive in Valleycliffe.

Around 8:30 pm on March 19, a citizen called the police to report a man checking car doors in the neighbourhood.

Police said the man is medium to heavy build, and wore dark pants and a dark hoodie or jacket with its hood up.

His age or ethnicity could not be determined.

Four police officers and a police service dog responded to the call but were unable to find the suspect.

RCMP are unsure if three thefts from vehicles previously reported in the area are related to this suspect.

Police are again reminding car owners to secure vehicles, have bright lights in driveways, and to call police if they see anything suspicious.
