Staff report
July 25, 2020 10:26am

There will be temporary road closures in Garibaldi Highlands and Downtown Squamish.

On Wednesday, July 29, district crews will be removing danger trees on Highlands Way South.

Temporary road closure will be in effect from 9 am to 4 pm, and access to Highlands Way South will be allowed northbound only.

South bound traffic from the Highlands, with the exception of emergency vehicles, will be rerouted via Skyline Drive.

Meanwhile, cleanup work will be underway next week in  Downtown Squamish  in advance of the B.C. Day long weekend.

Lane closures will be in effect from July 27 to July 29 between 6 am and 2:30 pm for the maintenance of Cleveland Avenue traffic island.

Sidewalk maintenance and street sweeping will take place throughout the downtown core on Thursday, July 30 between 6 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Street sweeping will take place on Friday, July 31. If you are a light sleeper, please plan accordingly.
