The District of Squamish has received a development permit application for a new industrial building in the Sea to Sky Business Park.
The application seeks to allow for the construction of one 10, 000 square foot industrial building, with two bays, on 1115 Enterprise Way.
The proposed use for both building bays is motor vehicle repair and service.
The site is in the southwestern sector of the Sea to Sky Business Park, and backs onto a greenspace buffer separating the Business Park from the northern end of the Dentville neighbourhood.
The site is in the floodplain, and the applicant has applied for a slight reduction of the prescribed Flood Construction Level (FCL) to create a functional driveway to the site.
Vehicular and pedestrian access is provided off the Enterprise Way frontage, although the vehicle parking for the repair shop does not meet some of the zoning bylaw criteria.
The applicant is providing 19 parking stalls and is also working to address the landscape requirements.
The application will be discussed at the Advisory Design Panel (ADP) meeting on August 20.
The ADP meeting will also discuss a Development Permit (DP) application for two new industrial buildings located at the northeast end of the Sea to Sky Business Park.
The development is located in a special industrial business zone, which permits light industrial uses and some business and professional office uses.
