One held under Mental Health Act after fire at Tim Hortons drive-thru

Squamish RCMP have apprehended one person under the Mental Health Act following an incident at the drive-thru at the local Tim Hortons.

The incident happened this morning.

Police were called to an incident at the drive thru at Tim Hortons on Progress Way this morning, said Squamish RCMP in a tweet.

Upon arrival, police found vehicle on fire and the driver of the vehicle in a mental health crisis.

The driver has been now apprehended under the Mental Health Act. Police didn’t say how the fire started.

No injuries have been reported in this incident.
