FortisBC is holding information session to highlight its proposed new location for the Squamish compressor station.
The info sessions will also provide information about the rerouting of an eight-kilometre section of the pipeline extension in Stawamus Valley to minimize impacts and include input from the Squamish Nation.
“These information sessions are an opportunity to be updated on the project and receive specific information about proposed work in the community,” FortisBC said.
Information sessions will take place at the following dates and times:

6 to 7:30 p.m.

Fortis said the information session will also detail plan on how it will support the community during construction, including the hiring of local and Indigenous contractors.
Details will also be provided about its Waste Discharge Permit application to the Oil & Gas Commission.
Each information session will include a short presentation about the project followed by a Q & A.
“For anyone who wants to learn more about the project and/or is unable to attend one of our information sessions, the presentation will be made available on our website afterwards,” Fortis said.
