Police investigating four-vehicle collision on Highway 99

Staff report
November 19, 2020 9:52am

Whistler and Pemberton RCMP are investigating a four-vehicle collision that took place on Highway 99, just south of Pemberton.

The accident happened on November 12 around 5 pm.

Whistler and Pemberton RCMP responded to the collision in the 7000 block of Highway 99 at Suicide Hill.

Police say a northbound vehicle lost control due to the bad weather and collided with a highway barrier.

The vehicle was stuck in the barrier after the collision.

Meanwhile, two other north-bound vehicles tried to avoid the first vehicle, but collided with each other, but managed to pull to the side of the road.

Then a fourth vehicle driving northbound was unable to stop and struck the first vehicle and pushed it into a ditch.

No drivers were injured, but the two vehicles needed to be towed away, slowing the traffic in the area.

Police are seeking witnesses or someone with dash camera footage to call the police at 604-894-6634 or contact Crimestoppers.
