COVID-19 alert for Squamish gas station

Staff report
November 20, 2020 2:20pm

A COVID-19 alert has been issued for a local gas station.

“We have been notified that a person who works at our Squamish Husky location is confirmed to have COVID-19,” said Dawn Delaney, the Communication Manager for Husky.

The alert was issued for the downtown location at 38183 Cleveland Avenue.

She said the employee last worked on November 15 and a thorough cleaning was performed the day after the employee’s last shift.

“A number of precautions are in place at all our locations, including regular enhanced cleaning and sanitizing of common, high-contact areas such as countertops, door handles, fueling nozzles and pin pads on both pumps and in stores, as well as social distancing practices.”
