Public’s help sought in finding missing hiker

Staff report
January 15, 2021 8:43am

North Shore Rescue is seeking the public’s help in finding a woman who went missing while hiking on the Howe Sound Crest Trail yesterday.

Anyone who was at Cypress yesterday hiking the Howe Sound Crest Trail to St Marks and may have seen 21-year-old Nikki is asked to contact the West Vancouver Police Department.

Nikki is believed to be wearing a black ski jacket.

“Any information and sightings will be helpful for us to narrow down a Point Last Seen,” North Shore Rescue said.

Meanwhile, NSR will be back out this morning searching for the 21-year-old Nikki, who is described as a female Asian snowshoer, 5’3”, medium length dark hair, black jacket.

She went snowshoeing to St Marks and did not return. Teams were out all night but were not able to locate her.

Please contact the WVPD at 604-925-7300 if you have any information.
