Unknown person sleeps in unlocked van in Valleycliffe

Squamish RCMP are investigating after an unknow person slept overnight in an unlocked van in Valleycliffe.

The individual then stole some items before leaving, said Sgt. Sascha Banks.

The incident happened on January 22 in an unlocked van that was parked in the 38000 block of Westway Ave.

This person slept inside the van and then stole some miscellaneous items before leaving, Banks said.

Prolific offender arrested

Squamish RCMP have arrested a prolific offender for suspected theft from a car.

Investigators have also linked him to a recent break-and-enter and theft he allegedly committed a few months ago.

He is a prolific property thief from the Lower Mainland and the police will ensure that he attends his court date.

On January 22, a man broke into a business located in the 38000 block of Queensway, and stole a large sum of money and some papers before he fled.

The police investigation is on.
