Snowfall warning for Metro Vancouver

Staff report
February 13, 2021 9:46am

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for North Shore.

It is also in effect for City of Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey, Langley, Richmond, Coquitlam and Maple Ridge.

Snowfall with total amounts of 5 to 10 cm can be expected.

Pacific moisture associated with an approaching frontal system is colliding with the arctic front along Vancouver Island.

Snow at times heavy will continue this morning and then ease this afternoon.

Snowfall accumulations of 5-10 cm are expected.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
