Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) will start COVID-19 vaccination clinics for eligible seniors on Monday, March 15, in Squamish, Whistler, Sunshine Coast, Powell River, and Pemberton.
A detailed list of clinic locations in the community will be released later.
An appointment can be booked using a toll-free number at 1-877-587-5767, starting March 8.
People 80 years of age and older, and Indigenous people 65 years of age and older can call this number.
Phone lines will be open on March 8 from 7 am to 7 pm, seven days a week.
Those calling should have a pen and paper ready, along with their personal health number, full name, date of birth, postal code and their phone number.
Most of the VCH clinics will be open seven days a week, between 9 am and 5 pm, and evening appointments will also be available.
Dedicated sites will also be in place Indigenous people, which will offer services that are culturally safe, with ceremonial plans in place.
