Squamish Fire Rescue investigating Third Avenue fire

Squamish Fire Rescue is investigating a small fire on Third Avenue. No one was injured.

Fire crews responded to a small fire on Third Avenue at around 7:40 pm on Sunday, April 11.

A neighbour with an extinguisher slowed down the fire and limited the damage before crews arrived. according to Rachel Boguski, media relations for the District of Squamish.

She said a family of three was relocated and were being supported by Squamish’s Emergency Support Services.

Three fire and support vehicles were on the scene, and Squamish Fire Rescue will be investigating the incident today.
