Two COVID-19 vaccination clinics at Brennan Park this month

Staff report
April 13, 2021 1:30pm

Two COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be set up at the Brennan Park Recreation Centre this month.

The dates and the timings are:

Thursday, April 15 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thursday, April 27 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The district says it continues to work with VCH on providing local facilities for COVID-19 vaccination clinics.

However, vaccines will be provided only to eligible seniors who have booked appointments in advance.

In Squamish, residents born in 1966 or earlier, age 55 and older, and Indigenous peoples aged 18 and older should register for a vaccine appointment now.

To register or book an appointment visit gov.bc.ca/getvaccinated or call 1.833.838.2323.

Appointments are based on age, B.C. COVID-19 Immunization Plan phasing and vaccine supply.

Meanwhile, the province has released a new age-based schedule for vaccination registration.

Monday, April 12 – registration opens for people aged 55 and up

Wednesday, April 14 – registration opens for people aged 50 and up

Friday, April 16 – registration opens for people aged 45 and up

Monday, April 19 – registration opens for people aged 40 and up

Once people have registered, they will be contacted when it is their turn to book a vaccine appointment. To preserve system capacity, please wait until your age cohort is called to register.

I’ve registered and was notified I could book an appointment, the link says we don’t have a fax clinic in Squamish, I phoned info line twice, both times I was told there is no fax clinic in Squamish.
