John Weston, the former Member of Parliament for West Vancouver – Sunshine Coast – Sea to Sky Country, has been officially acclaimed to represent the Conservative Party of Canada as its candidate in the next Federal Election.

“I’m grateful for the honour to represent my party once again. My campaign began long before the nomination,” said Weston.

“In the upcoming campaign Canada’s Conservatives will present our plan to secure the future by focusing on jobs, accountability, mental health, stockpiling essential medical products, and balancing the budget over the next decade. We will also showcase our comprehensive environment plan to reduce emissions while creating jobs and growing the economy.”

“British Columbians and especially the people of my riding know the importance of Canada’s relations with the Pacific Rim. Ripples from the shore of China quickly become economic and human rights tsunamis on our western shores,” he said.

“As cynical as it is, I believe Justin Trudeau is maneuvering Canadians into an election this June.  That is why I’m working now to ensure we do our part to end Canada’s current crushing experience of woeful, bad judgment in the Prime Minister’s Office.  We have so much good to accomplish together!”

Weston has also organized a webinar on this topic as part of Things that Matter series, and is encouraging people to register at johnweston4mp.ca

“Having spent a decade in Taiwan and China myself, I’m delighted to welcome as guests Foreign Affairs Critic Michael Chong & author Jonathan Manthorpe to our upcoming webinar,” he said.
