A Sunshine Coast man has been charged in a child porn investigation.
Graham Bowering, a 50-year-old man has been charged with a child pornography related offence.
Bowering has had direct contact with children during his work as a teacher in the North Vancouver School District.
The investigation began in August 2020, as a result of a notification received from an electronic service provider, which alleged that an account user had child pornography in their possession.
Sunshine Coast RCMP immediately launched an investigation.
Following an extensive review and forensic analysis of the evidence, charges were approved Bowering on April 26, 2021.
Sunshine Coast RCMP released this information in the interest of public safety and to further the police investigation.
Investigators have reviewed all available evidence and, at this point, no Lower Mainland children have been identified as potential victims.
