Whistler RCMP to increase patrolling after thieves smash in car windows

Whistler RCMP will be increasing patrolling of parking lots after thieves targeted vehicles in two areas of the community.

On April 20 at approximately 10:30 am, Whistler RCMP received a complaint that a vehicle had been broken into while parked overnight in the underground parking lot in the Creekside area.

The driver side window had been smashed and personal items were taken from the vehicle.

On April 20, at approximately 12 pm, Whistler RCMP responded to a second incident where a vehicle was parked over night at Spruce Grove and the passenger side window of the vehicle was smashed and personal belongings were taken.

Whistler RCMP have yet to identify a suspect.

The RCMP will be increasing their patrols throughout parking lots in the community.

Cpl Miller would like to remind the public that they should report suspicious behavior to Whistler RCMP at 604 932-3044.
Whistler RCMP would also like to remind the public to remove personal belongings and valuables from your vehicle.
