Squamish Chamber of Commerce creates marketing task force

staff report
May 7, 2021 2:09pm

Squamish Chamber of Commerce has created a new Marketing Advisory Task Force and is inviting the Squamish business community to ‘buy local’ workshop.

The members of the 2021 Marketing Advisory Task Force are:

Christy Allan from the Sea to Sky Gondola, Martha McLellan from Martha McLellan Real Estate, Cath Croucher from Curated Dwelling, Megan Davies from Squamish Farmers’ Market, Brittany van Dyck from Fox and Oak, and Kimberly Clunk from Mountain FM.

Other members are Kurt Larson from Get in the Loop, Marcus Monopoli from Happimess, Kerry Neil from the Squamish Downtown BIA, Rochelle Smith from RRM Creative, Jordan Stanzack from Square Digital, Jennifer Stone from District of Squamish, Lin Smith from O’Brien Pet Food and Supplies, Amber Turnau from Substrate Studios, and Lesley Weeks from Tourism Squamish.

The goal of this task force is to create a forum for Squamish businesses to provide guidance and feedback on upcoming marketing campaigns.

“Squamish is full of talented entrepreneurs. We are very fortunate to access the expertise of local business owners, who are keen to support the Squamish community. Their input will help us design campaigns to meet the needs of Squamish businesses.” said Louise Walker, Executive Director, Squamish Chamber.

The Chamber has also started a month-long campaign to promote buying local in partnership with LOCO BC and VanCity / Squamish Savings.

All Squamish businesses are invited to join an upcoming workshop on May 13 (9am – 11am) to discuss how a buy local campaign can support your business and how to engage in the campaign.
