Squamish RCMP identify suspect in ‘indecent acts’ investigation

staff report
May 27, 2021 4:13pm

Squamish RCMP have identified a man in an investigation into a series of ‘indecent acts’ that happened May 16 and 18 near Bailey St. and Third Avenue.

Police arrested the man and released him for appearance at a future court date.

His name was not released by the police, but Squamish RCMP said they do not believe community is at risk.

The ‘indecent acts’ occurred between 1 pm and 3:30 pm.

“This act is not common to happen in our local neighborhoods, and we ask anyone with information, regardless of how small you think it may be, to contact us,” says Sgt. Dan Pollock of the Squamish RCMP.

Anyone with any information about these incidents or the suspect is asked to contact the Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or go to the http://www.solvecrime.ca

Our beautiful, peaceful town is gone. Where you expand small communities so rapidly, the original essence is gone.
