District moves to Stage 3 water restrictions

staff report
June 26, 2021 7:06pm

The District of Squamish is moving to Stage 3 water restrictions.

The district is moving to Stage 3 because of high water consumption and flow capacity concerns brought on by the current heat wave.

Stage 3 restrictions are expected to remain in effect until temperatures begin to drop.

During Stage 3, sprinkler watering is not permitted at any time.

Residents are being urged to conserve water where possible and adhere to the Stage 3 outdoor water use bylaw restrictions to ensure adequate water volumes are available in reservoirs to provide fire protection if required.
