Staff report
July 13, 2021 11:43am

One man has been arrested after theft from a local clothing store.

On July 9, a man stole $300 worth of clothing from a business in the Garibaldi Village Mall.

Squamish RCMP investigated the theft, identified and arrested the man. He will appear in court on a future date.

Squamish RCMP have also recovered a car that was reported stolen from a local storage facility.

On July 6, a car owner reported their 2002 black Mitsubishi Delica had been stolen from a local storage facility.

The car was located on the same day and processed by RCMP Forensic Identification Services for evidence.

Police say thieves stole a 2012 black Santa Cruz Superlight 29 full suspension mountain bike with front and rear derailleur, bright green handlebars with turquoise grips, and flat pedals.

The bike has yet to be recovered.
