Accident closes Highway 99; expect major delays

An accident has closed the Highway 99 in both directions, and those on the road can expect major delays.

First responders are on scene of the serious collision that happened between a vehicle and a motorcycle near Lions Bay, Squamish RCMP said.

The accident took place between Ocean Point Drive and Kelvin Grove Way, about 1 km south of Lions Bay.

DriveBC is warning drivers to expect major delays. Assessment is in progress, and estimated time of opening is not available.

Detours are not available.
