District launches new registration system for recreation services

Staff report
October 16, 2021 12:55pm

The District of Squamish is launching a new online and mobile-friendly registration system for all Squamish Recreation Services programs and activities.

The new user-friendly system is fast, flexible and easy to use with enhanced features that will allow customers to create their own passwords, search programs by topic or age category, and access family member’s account details with ease.

Beginning November 1, existing Recreation Services account holders are encouraged to create an account in the new system.

A new account will be required in order to register for Winter 2022 programs, as SquamishLive.ca Login ID and Family PINs will be retired along with the SquamishLive system.

“The District has systematically been upgrading outdated and end-of-life software across the organization and this new registration system is part of that effort,” says Mayor Karen Elliott.

Here are the key features:

Simplified login – Customers will be able to create a unique login with an email address and password;

Improved navigation and search function – Customers will be able to search programs and activities by name, age, or activity type;

Mobile-friendly – Customers will be able to register for programs and activities across devices;

Registered Programs and Family Calendar  – Customers will have the ability to view and add registered programs and activities to a family ‘calendar’.

For anyone unable to access the online registration system, program registration will continue to be available via customer service staff at Brennan Park by calling 604.898.3604 or visiting the customer service desk.

In early December, winter program registration begins through the new registration system.
