District to hold info meeting on facilities replacement tomorrow

District of Squamish is holding a public information night on the facilities replacement.

It is being held tomorrow, October 27, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at The 55 Activity Centre at 1201 Village Green Way.

District of Squamish staff will talk about the facilities that are proposed to be upgraded and included in the 2022-26 Five Year Financial Plan.

Information will be available on two new firehalls and Public Works Yard, a Transit Maintenance Facility, Municipal Offices, and Brennan Park Recreation Centre phase 1.

District staff will also speak about the remaining phases of Brennan Park Recreation Centre, which include second ice rink, pool and wellness centre, and the library.

Residents are invited to drop-in between 5 and 7 p.m. to learn how facilities are being prioritized, how to provide feedback, and other factors that are informing the decision-making process.
