Squamish RCMP search for missing local man

Squamish RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 65-year-old missing Squamish resident. Richard Bakke was last seen on March 1 and reported missing the same day.

Description of Richard Bakke:
• Caucasian;
• 5’10;
• 300 lbs;
• White hair

He was last seen wearing:
• Grey sweat pants;
• Red t-shirt;
• Blue jacket; and
• Runners

Richard Bakke was last seen leaving Government Road on foot towards Downtown Squamish. He did not show up for work this morning.

Since his disappearance, police have followed up on several leads, but he remains missing. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Richard Bakke is urged to contact their local police or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
