One dead in shooting at Real Canadian Superstore in North Vancouver

March 11, 2022 5:56pm

One man has died after shooting at the Real Canadian Superstore in North Vancouver.

On March 11, 2022, just after 2:45 p.m. North Vancouver RCMP received a report of multiple shots fired in the parking lot of the Real Canadian Superstore located at 333 Seymour Boulevard in North Vancouver.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found one adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite all efforts to revive the victim, he succumbed to his injuries.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in, and they are now conducting the investigation in partnership with the North Vancouver RCMP. Based on the investigative theory in this initial phase, this incident does not appear to be a random act.

Police are in the evidence gathering phase, and are requesting that anyone with information regarding this investigation call the IHIT Information Line at 1‐877‐551‐IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp‐grc.gc.ca.
