On March 8, officers were conducting speed enforcement on Highway 99 in Furry Creek when an officer noticed a black truck that was weaving in and out of lanes at a high rate of speed.

The laser showed the vehicle was travelling at 155km per hour in an 80 km per hour zone while weaving an out of lanes. The driver was issued a ticket and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

The driver told the officer he was going to the hospital to see an ailing family member, after which the officer drove the person to the hospital, police say.
