Several vehicles on Tantalus Road broken into

Squamish RCMP are investigating several reports of vehicles break-ins in the 40000 block of Tantalus Road. One vehicle sustained damage when the driver’s side door was punched. An $800 manicure/pedicure machine was stolen.

Gas from some vehicles was also syphoned off by suspects. Squamish RCMP is also investigating a report of a vehicle that was broken into while parked near the Conroy Forest Service Road. Multiple items were stolen including sunglasses, clothing, jewelry, and bank cards.

On May 9, Squamish RCMP received a report of a vehicle swerving back and forth on Highway 99 near Valleycliffe. Officer located the vehicle and tested the driver for alcohol and drug impairment.

The driver failed the drug test and their licence was suspended for 24 hours.
