Paving in Garibaldi Estates; expect traffic delays, noise and dust

Staff report
June 13, 2022 7:35am

Two infrastructure projects in Garibaldi Highlands and Garibaldi Estates are expected to cause some traffic delays. District crews are expected to start paving Kalodon Road this summer.

Work will take place between June and July and will take approximately two weeks to complete. Traffic management will be in place to ensure smooth flow of pedestrians and vehicles. Area residents can expect traffic delays, noise and dust. The exact dates for when this project will take place has yet to be confirmed. Work will take place from 7 am to 7 pm.

CCTV inspection and vapour testing in the Industrial Park, Loggers Lane, Hospital Hill and Valleycliffe areas is scheduled for this week and continues through to August. Expect traffic delays and watch for traffic control personnel.

The District is also undertaking active transportation upgrades and improvements to the roundabout at The Boulevard and Highlands Way South for a new multi-use path.

The project aims to improve safety and connectivity for cyclists and pedestrians, and will continue until August. The work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm. Expect traffic delays.
