Squamish RCMP is investigating reports of several vehicle break-ins in the community.
On June 23, Squamish RCMP received a report of a vehicle broken into while parked at either Brennan Park Rec Centre or Shannon Falls Provincial Park. The vehicle was noticed to have damage to the driver side door. A wallet was stolen and credit cards were used in both Squamish and North Vancouver.
On June 24, Squamish RCMP received a report of an alarm at Shannon Falls Provincial Park. The windows of the shop at the park was vandalized, and cash was taken from the building. On June 26, Squamish RCMP received multiple reports of vehicles being broken into and damaged in Rubble Creek area.
Vehicles had doors pried open, ignitions damaged, multiple windows broken and seat upholstery damaged. Several passports were stolen as well as backpacks with camping gear, sunglasses, keys, clothing, insurance cards, air pods, and shoes.
