Constellation music festival: Expect traffic delays, part closure of Loggers Lane

District of Squamish is advising the community of possible traffic impacts because of the Constellation Festival that is taking place from July 22 to July 24.

Residents and visitors of should be cognizant of the following traffic impacts due to the Squamish Constellation Festival. There will be a higher volume of traffic in and around the Loggers East area of Squamish. Traffic management will be in place on Loggers Lane from the Centennial Way/Loggers Lane intersection to Finch Drive from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday to Sunday.

Loggers Lane will be closed from Finch Drive to Raven Drive, and will be open to local traffic only. Festival drop-off location will be in the front parking lot at Brennan Park Recreation Centre, and residents and visitors should be aware of possible congestion.

Festival attendees and Brennan Park visitors are asked to use Government Road/Centennial Way to access Brennan Park and exit north through Highway 99. There will be no access to these locations from Finch Drive. Drivers in the area should be aware of increased pedestrians and cyclists in the area during the event, District says. However, Brennan Park Recreation Centre will operate as normal.
