Squamish elections: District to hold candidate orientation sessions

District of Squamish is holding two candidate orientation sessions in the community. The sessions will be held on August 29 and September 7 at 6 pm.

They will be held in the council chambers at 37955 Second Avenue.

“If you are interested in running for office and have some questions about your campaign or elected position, please join us for an informal presentation and chat,” says the District.

The general voting day and declaration of unofficial results will be from 8 am to 8 pm at the Brennan Park Recreation Centre on Oct.18.

However, advance voting opportunities will be available:

Monday, October 3 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  at The 55 Activity Centre

Wednesday, October 5 – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at The 55 Activity Centre

Thursday, October 6 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  at The 55 Activity Centre

Saturday, October 8 – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Brennan Park Recreation Centre

Tuesday, October 11 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Brennan Park Recreation Centre

Wednesday, October 12 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Brennan Park Recreation Centre
