Pedestrian critically injured in accident on Sea to Sky Highway

A serious car accident on Highway 99 has left one pedestrian in critical condition.

On October 29, at about 1:35 am, Squamish RCMP received a report of a serious car accident that took place on Highway 99 near Finch Dr.  A car reportedly hit a pedestrian, causing significant injuries to the person who has been  transported to a Lower Mainland hospital.

The pedestrian remains in critical condition with undisclosed injuries.

Police say alcohol is not involved and driver is fully cooperating with the investigation.

“This event has impacted a number of people in different capacities,” says Corporal Angela Kermer of Sea to Sky RCMP. “As our work continues to determine what happened, we encourage anyone affected to reach out to support resources.”
