Man injured after crashing car into local Tim Hortons

A man is recovering from his injuries after crashing his car into the local Tim Hortons on Garibaldi Way. The incident happened on December 1 just before 6 am, says Squamish RCMP.

Police say the incident happened when the driver accidentally left the car in Drive mode while trying to reverse the car. The driver smashed through a glass window and sustained injuries that required medical attention. The injured driver is now recovering.

Theft of truck

On December 3,  at about 4:30 am, thieves stole a truck from the 1200 block of Commercial Way. The truck, a white Ford F250 with BC licence plate RR5364, was stolen from behind a business. Police suspect a man wearing all black clothing including a face mask and black sweatshirt with white Polo written on the sweatshirt. He has also been ‘associated’ with a black jeep with unknown licence plate.

Police continue to investigate.
