Squamish RCMP search for missing local man

Staff report
December 20, 2022 4:40pm

Squamish RCMP are seeking the public’s help in finding missing person Jefferson Erazo-Diaz. He was last seen on December 15 in the evening, just before midnight.

He is described as a Hispanic man, age 27, medium complexion, black, short curly hair, brown eyes, 179 cm (5’10”), 84 kg (185 lbs). He is a medium build and was last seen wearing a toque, dark coat, light pants, and light runners.

Erazo-Diaz drives a 2002 blue two-door BMW 323i, with BC licence plate NS2 34V. He is known to frequent Surrey and Richmond areas.

“Jefferson’s social network is worried about him,” says Corporal Angela Kermer, Sea to Sky RCMP.  “While it’s not unlike him to take time to be alone, his routine has been broken and we’re concerned about his mental wellness, especially if paired with substance use.  We just need to hear from him so we know he’s okay.”
