A family in North Shore is looking for help finding their dog lost on Mount Seymour. In a social media post, Samantha Jung is asking people to look for Callie, who went missing on Mount Seymour on January 29 around 10 am.
She was outside the washrooms with friends and was spooked and took off down a hillside along an unsanctioned snowshoe trail by the P5 parking lot, Jung wrote in her Facebook post. Local shelters have been notified and mountain staff are aware, and the family has been looking on sanctioned and unsanctioned trails.
Description:
Tan dog, pointy ears, wearing the pictured black and pink coat. She had a red and gold collar on along with a pink leash.
Callie is microchipped and has the owner’s contact info on her collar tag. “We were searching for hours by snowshoe yesterday and couldn’t find her. I am beyond exhausted and devastated and unsure if more patrols will help considering the location she ran off into,” Jung wrote.
